Pakistani students who are stuck in Wuhan city of China amid coronavirus outbreak have a bit of relief now. India announced today to evacuate them if their government makes a request for it.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Ravish Kumar said this can be done if the Imran Khan governments makes a request to India for the evacuation of Pakistani students.

The announcement gets a highlight as a day before Pakistan refused to airlift the students even after repeated fervent appeals were made.

Wuhan city is the epicentre of coronavirus and until now more than 500 people have lost their lives.

Earlier, India evacuated its 640 citizens from China. Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja said 2,826 suspected cases are being monitored in the site. Special prayer was offered at the Chilkur Balaji temple by about 2,000 devotees yesterday.

Germany, Britain, France and several other European countries too have evacuated their citizens from China.

Amid all such American Airlines has further cut flights bound for Hong Kong from Los Angeles.

Tips to remain safe of coronavirus:

  • Often wash hands neatly.
  • Don’t touch eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Remain away from sick people.

Things to remember:

Coronavirus is a lot like a regular flue and is dangerous for those who have weak immunity. It is dangerous for elderly and very young ones. World Health Organization (WHO) has declared it as a global health crisis. Antibiotics don’t work on it as it is not a bacteria, but virus.
