Kim Jong-Un: Ready for dialogue, confrontation with the United States

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is preparing to end a tadpole with the United States. The state media claimed Friday after the United States and other G7 nations asked the north should stop its nuclear program and return to dialogue.

Kim Jong Un instructed his government to prepare both for dialogue and confrontation with the administration of Biden, but rather for the confrontations.

Kim “stressed on preparing for dialogue and confrontations, in particular, to be completely prepared for conflict to safeguard our state’s dignity” and guarantee national safety, he said.

The government of Biden has attempted to establish a “calibrated and practical” approach to North Korea’s nuclear program. Details about Biden’s stance on North Korea were not published, but U.S. sources hinted that Biden would look for moderate space between Trump’s direct talks with Kim and the “strategic patience” of former President Barack Obama to restrain Kim’s nuclear program.

A declaration calling for complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the “verifiable and irreversible abandonment” of North Korean nuclear and missile programs was published by G7 nations. They called on North Korea to enter into discussion and reopen it.

Sung Kim, North Korea’s top US official, is to travel to South Korean and Japanese officers in Seoul on Saturday to conduct a trilateral meeting. The State Department said that his journey highlighted the necessity of tripartite collaboration for complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.

While preparing for the talks, the official media outlets reported that the United States had shown its nuclear prowess and was ready to take steps to end its hostile policies towards its country. At a party meeting on Thursday, Kim revealed to everyone his attitude towards America.

Kim Jong Un: Ready for dialogue, confrontation with the United States

Kim held talks with then-US President Donald Trump in 2018–19. The talks remained incomplete, But negotiations collapsed after Kim’s calls for a broad sanctions relief for partial dismissal of his nuclear capability were rebuffed by Trump.

Last week’s G-7 summit called for Korea to become a fully nuclear-free country.

US President Joe Biden has decided not to act as aggressively as Trump and to move forward as a middle ground without tactically remaining silent like Barack Obama.

Kim, on the other hand, warned that if the United States carried out operations against its country, it would expand its nuclear program and high-tech design weapons to target Washington.

Last March, the North Korean military successfully launched a short-range ballistic missile. But the moratorium on long-distance missiles and nuclear testing is still being maintained by North Korea, indicating Kim still desires the prospect of talks. North Korea’s vision is to increase its nuclear arsenal to counter the United States.

Kim’s speech signals that he is likely to push to expand his nuclear weapons and boost pressure on Washington to abandon hostile policies on North Korea.
