Michael Clarke will be debuting his ICC TV commentary career with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup beginning May 30 in England and Wales.

The last man to lift the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2015 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia while leading the Australian squad. He joined Channel’s Nine’s commentary team in 2014 for the Boxing Day Test.

At the end of 2015 Ashes series he announced to be retiring from all forms of cricket.

He was the winner of Allan Border Medal four times – 2005, 2009, 2012 and 2013.

His debut Test score was 151 in 2004-05 against India in Bangalore. In 2004 he debuted on home-soil at Gabba in Australia’s Brisbane. He made 141 against New Zealand.

In 2004-05 hs best Test bowling figure was 6 of 9 (6.2). He made his first Ashes century in December 2006 with 124 runs at the Adelaid Oval.

He is the only Test batsman to have made four times double centuries in a single calendar year.

After retirement he became a full-time commentator for Nine’s World of Sports cricket coverage in late 2016.
