Kejriwal’s plea against ED remand rejected by Delhi High Court

In the recent update on the Delhi liquor scam case, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has suffered a major setback from the High Court. His petition challenging the arrest and detention by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been rejected. The verdict by Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma stated that this case is not a dispute between the Central Government and Arvind Kejriwal, instead it is between the Enforcement Directorate Agency and him. The ED has arrested him on charges of money laundering and they have enough evidence against the Delhi Chief Minister. Therefore, no privilege can be given to anyone, and he cannot be exempted from questioning in the investigation. Justice Sharma added that judges are bound by law, not by politics.
